Greetings from the Organizing Committee Chairs |
|
It is our great pleasure to welcome all participants to the 2025 SICE Festival with Annual Conference (SICE FES 2025). This is the largest event of the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE) in Japan and, this year, it will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with the strong cooperation of the Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology Association (ECTI Association) in Thailand. The event takes place from September 9 to 12, 2025. This is the second time the event is held as an "academic festival." The idea is to create an enjoyable and engaging atmosphere while maintaining the high academic quality of the annual conference. To realize this vision, we have prepared a variety of special activities. The ASEAN Networking Session will foster connections among control researchers and engineers from ASEAN countries. A special workshop and demonstration on automotive engineering are planned in collaboration with the Society of Automotive Engineers in Japan (JSAE). The SICE Diversity and Inclusion Activity (SICE-DIA) organizes engaging pre-events, which should contribute to broadening and enriching our community. In addition, on September 13, just after the conference, an outreach event mainly for high school students will be held at Chiang Mai University. We hope all participants will enjoy SICE FES 2025 as a truly engaging and inspiring academic festival. Even within this festival framework, the annual conference remains the central pillar of the event. We are pleased to offer three plenary talks, which promise to provide valuable insights and inspiration to the audience. Furthermore, two workshops are scheduled, offering participants opportunities to learn about the latest advancements in the field. A JEMIMA Talk and a panel session, organized by SICE Industry, should contribute to strengthening connections between corporate engineers and university researchers. The conference also features 22 organized sessions, each designed to encourage active and fruitful discussion. Most importantly, we are delighted to welcome 161 regular papers, 179 position papers, and 37 late breaking posters. We sincerely thank all the contributors and are confident that the conference will serve as a meaningful platform for the exchange of new ideas. This year, we ask all presenters to join us in person in Chiang Mai and deliver their presentations in the traditional face-to-face format. We believe that this is the most effective way to foster in-depth discussions and build new connections among participants. We encourage all participants to take full advantage of this opportunity for direct interaction. Finally, we would like to express our deep appreciation to all the societies and companies supporting SICE FES 2025. We are also truly grateful for the dedication and hard work of the Organizing Committee members, the Program Committee members, and the Associate Editors. Warmest regards, | ||||||||
