Special Talk for Luncheon Meeting:

Abstract: Engineering has historically been a field with a disproportionately low representation of women, yet the landscape is steadily evolving as more women choose to pursue and excel in these dynamic careers. This talk will explore the journey of a woman in engineering, offering a personal perspective on the challenges she overcame and the triumphs she celebrated. Through sharing my own experiences, from initial curiosity and education to navigating professional environments and leading innovative projects, I aim to illuminate the unique strengths and perspectives women bring to the engineering world. We will discuss strategies for fostering an inclusive environment, the importance of mentorship and allyship, and practical advice for aspiring female engineers. This presentation seeks to inspire and empower, demonstrating that with passion, perseverance, and a supportive community, women can not only succeed but also significantly shape the future of engineering.
