Giken Red Hill 1967 Tour (August 29)"Piles" are crucial materials used in construction, designed in various shapes and materials to suit different applications and environments. These are used in many aspects of our daily lives, from structural foundations to soil retaining and cut-off walls. GIKEN, a civil engineering company, developed the world's first practical application of the press-in principle with their vibration-free, noise-free SILENT PILERTM pile press-in and extraction machine. RED HILL 1967, opened in 2023, is a facility where visitors can learn about the Press-in Principle by seeing actual GIKEN machines, construction methods, and related structures. SICE FES 2024 will host a bus tour to this facility on Thursday, August 29. |

Riding Experience on the Honda Autonomous Micromobility CiKoMa (August 30)Join us for a test-ride event of CiKoMa, a micro-mobility vehicle developed by Honda R&D, at Kochi University of Technology Kami Campus. A bus tour will be provided from the Eikokuji Campus, the site of SICE FES 2024. Participants who wish to attend should make reservations at the website listed below.
