Abstract

The paper addresses the design of fault detection and isolation filters using homogeneous finite-time state observers. The proposed filter guarantees finite-time convergence of the observation error in the absence of faults, while in the presence of a fault, the residual aligns with a fixed direction associated with the specified fault. The effectiveness of the approach is demonstrated through a simulation example.
