Abstract

The probability of collision between a rectangular cuboid and small debris (that is, point-like debris) is computed, under the assumptions of the short-encounter model. The computation is exact in the sense that it is not based on approximations such as the enveloping sphere approximation, but on a very efficient algorithm to compute the integral of Gaussian over the projection of a rectangular cuboid on the collision plane.
